In 1978, the Spartanburg community responded to the needs of abused, abandoned and neglected children by establishing the Spartanburg Children Shelter. Over the years, the Shelter served as a temporary home to thousands of children. Children arrive at the Shelter anytime of the day or night, 365 days a year. Our promise is to provide the children with something nutritious to eat, a warm bath or shower, clean clothes, and a warm bed to sleep in.
