In 1978, the Spartanburg community responded to the needs of abused, abandoned and neglected children by establishing the Spartanburg Children Shelter. Over the years, the Shelter served as a temporary home to thousands of children. Children arrive at the Shelter anytime of the day or night, 365 days a year.
